“I DON’T THINK I REALLY KNEW WHAT TO FEEL

UNEXPECTED; SADNESS PREGNANCY OPTION

Meet Becca

Growing up, Becca consistently heard “You aren’t enough”. After graduating with her masters, she had the job, the car, and the house and finally felt like she had made her parents proud. Little did they know that she was hiding the fact that she was addicted to drugs, alcohol and pills.

"I wanted to escape how I felt every single day."

In May 2009, Becca’s became pregnant unexpectedly. Knowing how important it was for the baby for her to stay clean, she checked herself into a rehab facility. While at the facility, she was educated about her options and eventually chose to place her child for adoption.

"Despite being pregnant and in rehab, being at that facility was the first time I’d truly felt loved and accepted by people."

While at the facility, Becca found a core group of birth moms that made her feel for the first time that her life had value. Her baby girl is now the oldest of 3 adopted children and is living the life that Becca always hoped she would have.

“If there’s one thing I could tell an expectant mom it’s that your life has value.”
